TALL MAN GOLF
Tall Man Golf’s revolutionary new clubs are legal – under current USGA rules any club can be up to 48”. While Tall Man Golf hopes this rule will be eliminated as humans continue to grow taller and taller with each successive generation, we operate within the rules to deliver conforming sets of clubs that are properly fitted for the tall golfer, with the Stratos S1 Driver length uniformly set to 48” and remaining clubs adjusted below 48” to the height and preferences of YOU, our client.
The sentiments Tall Man Golf believes YOU, as a tall golfer, should have are: I’d LOVE to play longer clubs that inherently allowed me to hit longer, straighter, higher shots by consistently allowing me to achieve correct posture and maintain balance throughout the swing. I’d LOVE to have clubs that inherently improve my mechanics, allowing me to build an easily repeatable swing. I’d LOVE to have clubs that inherently increase my club head speed – by virtue of longer shafts that give me a wider arc and allow me to easily stay “on-plane,” eliminating the need to constantly re-route the club throughout each swing to get the clubhead to the ball.

TX-1 IRONS
TX-1™ precision forged irons are introduced as the first set of golf irons specifically engineered for the tall golfer, available in lengths from 2” to 6” over standard. TX-1 irons offer exceptional distance, superior trajectory, and excellent feel for the tall golfer. By promoting correct posture and allowing for athleticism and balance throughout a tall golfer’s swing, TX-1 irons bring unmatched accuracy and unprecedented consistency to tall golfers’ games.
Tall Man Golf or “TMG’s” TX-1™ irons are truly a “best-of-both-worlds” effort – each club integrates the length and forgiveness of cavity-back or perimeter weighted irons, with the accuracy, consistency and control of blade or muscle-backed irons. Each TX-1 iron employs Tall Man Golf’s proprietary MassAdjusted ™ technology to enhance the performance characteristics beyond those of standard length clubs, all while maintaining relatively “standard” swingweight on a significantly longer shaft. All Tall Man Golf TX-1 irons feature True Temper shafts in “Tall Man” flex, which works together with Tall Man Golf’s MassAdjusted ™ iron heads to give YOU, the golfer, exceptional clubhead speed with less effort, while minimizing in-swing torque and clubface deflection at impact. The result is that Tall Man Golf’s TX-1 irons deliver excellent feel and exceptional playability for golfers at every level. More importantly, the length of Tall Man Golf’s TX-1 irons promotes an athletic, stable posture among tall golfers, allowing them to swing the clubs freely, around their body, with significantly longer arc, with minimal loss of power due to mid-swing rerouting and corrections that are commonplace when tall golfers use standard length clubs, or standard clubs that have been minimally lengthened (up to 1 1/2”). TMG’s TX-1 irons have been tested and proven an excellent choice for tall golfers at every handicap and level of the game.
What length clubs should I be playing with?
Our opinion is that you should play with clubs that allow you to maintain a consistent spine angle throughout the swing (NO DIPPING), with your weight centered over your feet, NOT in front of your toes. Longer clubs will promote a more rounded, shorter, more compact swing, using more “big muscles” for power and control. Shorter clubs promote a more upright, looser swing, bringing arms, hands, and timing more into play. Our clubs are offered at 2” to 6” over standard length. Everyone is different, but our GENERAL fitting guideline is:
6'0 should play 2 to 3.5" over standard
6’1 should play 2.5 to 4” over standard
6’2 should play 3 to 4.5” over standard
6’3 should play 3.5 to 5” over standard
6’4 should play 4 to 5.5” over standard
6’5 should play 4.5 to 6” over standard (6" over is our max length)
6’6 should play 5 to 6” over standard
6’7 and taller should play 5.5 to 6” over standard
To visualize how the sizes above might affect you, see the "Straighten up your game" images at the bottom of this page. They begin with TMG's owner and developer, at 6'4," set up with his old golf clubs extended by 1 1/2 inches, which was the most the "regular" golf industry could offer him. Each subsequent frame shows how 1/2 inch of added length affects his stance and posture - up to 5 1/2 inches over standard. This is the length he actually plays. At 5 1/2 inches over standard he is in the best, most stable position to generate effortless power and consistency with an athletic swing that rotates around his spine.
Whether you choose to order at the shorter or longer recommended length depends on a number of factors, including on length of your arms and torso (if you are long in the torso and arms, shorter is okay...if you are long legged, with relatively "normal" torso and arms, you should order the longer set), your natural posture (if you are stooped, shorter is okay...if you stand erects, you should order the longer set), and other factors. Our experience is that at the referenced heights, tall golfers have no problems hitting all clubs within the recommended range, and will benefit greatly from clubs at ANY of the recommended lengths. Generally, we recommend ordering longer, rather than shourter. Keep in mind that you can always choke down slightly on clubs and/or excess length can be trimmed by your local golf pro if absolutely necessary. If you wish, we'll be happy to look at photos of your posture with standard clubs and make a personal recommendation. Feel free to call or email any time. Our mission is to help you, the tall golfer, in any way we can.
If in doubt, we recommend ordering longer clubs…they can always be cut down and re-gripped by us or by your local shop. It’s harder to lengthen clubs already cut, and we believe the plastic shaft inserts are a mistake – they sit at the most critical pressure point in a golfer’s grip, and fail to offer the support or feel that a single, solid steel shaft gives by itself. At this time, Tall Man Golf only offers FULL, 13-club sets
including LW, SW, AW, PW-4, 5W, 3W, Driver
Price: $1,799.00
"End of summer special"
(Regular Price $1,899.00)
All clubs are assembled at "Tall Man Flex". The interplay between our MassAdjusted TM heads and lengthened shafts makes "standard" flex measurements inapplicable, as our clubs "load" and torque differently than standard clubs. We've optimized flex in each given length to maximize benefits for medium to fast swing speeds. By special request, we can tip clubs differently for slower swing speeds, but in our experience this is an unnecessary move that sacrifices accuracy for minimal distance gains, if any. For nearly all Tall Man Golf players, distance will naturally be increased by virtue of the longer shafts, wider arc, and more efficient swing our clubs provide.

STRATOS WOODS
For the woods, "Stratos SD, Stratos S3 and Stratos S5". Tall Man Golf introduces the first driver and metal-woods specifically engineered for the tall golfer. The Stratos series of woods combine Tall Man Golf's proprietary MassAdjusted (TM) technology with custom UST shafts, to offer Stratospheric performance. These clubs deliver towering shots with minimal effort, allowing the tall golfer to maintain correct posture and spine angle to improve distance, increase carry, and reduce spin for greater accuracy and control.

FAQ
How did Tall Man Golf start?
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with your questions and comments. We’ll be happy to reply!
For over a decade, Tall Man Golf founder, 6’4”+ Nathan Fry’s driving passion has been to make the game more enjoyable for tall golfers like himself, by designing and manufacturing equipment that fits tall golfers – namely, longer golf clubs. Working in the golf business and an avid golfer, himself, Nathan recognized that golfers over 6’ universally suffer from “stooping over” problems which lead to bad swing habits, bad shots, frustration, back and knee issues, among other problems. Before Tall Man Golf, tall golfers over 6’ could never hope to execute a “full turn”, or finish a swing in balance, or maintain spine angle through a swing, or “stay down” on the ball like a pro, because standard clubs simply don’t let them. Thousands of hours of experimentation, equipment prototyping, video analysis, and study on golf swing mechanics have now created the FIRST set of clubs specifically engineered for the tall golfer – Tall Man Golf’s TX-1™ Irons, TX-1™ Wedges, and Stratos ™ series Woods.
Why can’t they just make standard clubs longer?
Lengthening standard clubs (up to 2” at most) usually involves a plastic plug inserted into the end of the existing steel shaft, with a new grip over the plug. Longer shafts can be ordered for standard heads, but two main problems with this are:
1) The standard head becomes too heavy to swing without discomfort, because swingweight” (how heavy the head “feels”) increases exponentially with distance from your hands.
2) The longer shaft is off balance, loads improperly and feels a bit “flimsy“, leading to inconsistent results.
A standard head on a standard shaft extended 3, 4, 5 or 6 inches would feel a bit like swinging a sledgehammer on a whippy rubber handle. Here’s where Tall Man Golf’s innovation comes in - Tall Man Golf’s heads are MassAdjusted™ and our shafts are engineered heavier and “stiffer”. The result: clubs that play and feel like top-tier standard clubs, at lengths appropriate for golfers over 6’ tall. TMG golfers play with better posture, better balance and a “big muscle” swing that leads to a better and more enjoyable game. It’s common sense, but don’t just believe it. Experience it.
Why haven’t other manufacturers provided longer golf clubs for golfers over six feet tall?
Everything starts somewhere. Our best guess, based on three facts:
1) Golfers over 6’2” comprise only about 5% of golfers – Tall Man Golf is a niche market.
2) To make clubs longer, heads must be lighter and shafts must be stiffer – this means completely customized processes, which are EXPENSIVE.
3) The golf club industry has been profitably mass-marketing standard gear to tall golfers for time immemorial. They’ve had little incentive to change!
What length clubs should I be playing with?
We recommend clubs that set you into a proper, athletic posture and allow you to swing the club AROUND your body, like pros do. From this posture you can maintain a consistent spine angle throughout your swing (NO DIPPING), with your weight centered over your feet, NOT your toes. Properly fitted Tall Man Golf clubs promote a more rounded, shorter, more compact swing, using more “big muscles” for power and control.
GENERAL FITTING GUIDELINE:
6'0 -- 2 to 3.5" over standard
6’1 -- 2.5 to 4” over standard
6’2 -- 3 to 4.5” over standard
6’3 -- 3.5 to 5” over standard
6’4 -- 4 to 5.5” over standard
6’5 -- 4.5 to 6” over standard (6" over is our max length)
6’6 -- 5 to 6” over standard
6’7 and taller -- 5.5 to 6” over standard
Your best length depends on a number of factors: Height, length of arm, length of leg, length of torso, your natural stoop, etc. We will gladly help you choose the right set, CALL OR EMAIL US TODAY!!!
Here’s TMG's 6’4” owner and developer, Nathan Fry, beginning with his old golf clubs, extended by 1 1/2 inches, with standard lie angle. Each subsequent frame adds ½”. At 5’ 1/2 “ over standard he has found his best Tall Man Golf fit. This posture is the best position for Nathan to generate effortless power and consistency, using an athletic swing that rotates around his spine and finishes in balance.
Will I have to change my swing?
Short answer is YES – this is the whole idea, and it will be easy!! Too short clubs restrict the tall golfer to an “armsy” hacking motion, usually off balance and usually “over the top.” The promise of Tall Man golf’s longer, properly-fitted clubs is a more rounded, shorter, compact swing, using more “big muscles” for power and control, avoiding those head-lifts, dips, reverse-pivots, over-the-top swings, loss of balance, alignment problems, etc. You’ll depend less on timing (and LUCK) to execute a successful shot, as our longer clubs “straighten you up”, with the club naturally approaching the ball “from the inside”, (which is how good golfers play). SO EMBRACE A SWING CHANGE with clubs that finally allow YOU to swing like a “normal” height golfer!! During the transition, Tall Man Golfers figure out quickly that “straightening up” their posture and swinging around their body brings near-immediate, astounding improvements. Minor adjustments in alignment are typical, too, as most tall golfers learn to play aimed right to accommodate their “over the top” arm swings! It’s great for golfers over 6’ tall to finally be able to embrace a GOOD golf swing, with proper alignment. If you have difficulty during the transition, Tall Man Golf will be glad to help you through the process, looking at any photos or videos you send in and offering swing advice free of charge. Once you experience the Tall Man Golf swing, you’ll never go back!!
How long will it take me to get used to my TMGs?
Many TMG’ers hit pure shots within only a few swings, and after a bucket or two of balls you will realize that the shorter arc, the tighter, more rounded swing delivers more power with less effort. Considering that it often takes “regular height” golfers months to get used to a new set of standard clubs, this is pretty AMAZING! Our experience is that within a very short time, tall golfers’ bodies experience a complete “acceptance” of the more comfortable, easier, more natural position. Tall Man Golf is committed to your success and enjoyment, and will help you get there if you want help! After experiencing their first few successful swings with Tall Man clubs, our golfers become so comfortable with their now-correct posture that develop what we jokingly call “TMG Syndrome” - where a tall golfer’s body unconsciously experiences such an immediate and huge sensation of relief that afterward they find standard length clubs awkward to use, even clubs they’ve been playing with for years. Because our clubs are so much more natural, easy and comfortable for a tall golfer to swing, their body vigorously resists “going back”!
How can longer clubs improve my game?
Excellent posture and balance are fundamental to a powerful and repeatable golf swing, and to your long-term health and enjoyment of the game. Tall Man Golf’s longer clubs allow you, assuming you’re a golfers over six feet tall, to “Straighten Up Your Game!” so you can achieve the same positions that average height golfers do relative to the ball. This “straightens up” a myriad of problems common to tall golfers – over the top swings, slices, pulls, alignment issues, head movement, off-balance swings, inability to turn, reverse pivots, hip slide, back problems, shoulder problems, knee problems, fatigue, frustration, chipping dips and yips….you get the picture!!! With our customized, MassAdjusted clubs you’ll soon enjoy an all-around better golf swing and greater enjoyment of the game. It’s our mission!
Are TMG clubs legal?
Current USGA rules state that any club can be up to 48”. We operate within the USGA rules to deliver conforming sets of clubs.
Do you have to be tall to use Tall Man Golf clubs?
No. We’ve had significant interest in our clubs from golfers of average height who have trouble playing from a bent-over position. Anyone with infirmity, lower back issues/fusion, restricted ability to turn while bending, etc. might benefit from our clubs.
EXPECTED BENEFITS:
Improved posture
Better swing
More power
Ability to create higher ball flight
Improved consistency
Less susceptibility to fatigue/soreness
How do tall pros manage to compete using regular clubs?
Very few pros are over 6’1”. Those who are compete at a disadvantage, and compensate by being extremely fit, athletic, incredibly gifted, and determined! They often suffer health problems in their careers, as a result of swinging with tremendous force from an unnatural and restrictive posture.
What reactions have we gotten from other players?
Since developing TMG’s TX-1™ Irons and Stratos™ Driver and Woods, the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive (these are actual comments from golfers who have tried TMG clubs):
“I can’t believe I ever hit with anything else”
“I’ll never go back”
“No wonder I’ve been so screwed up all these years”
“Amazing….simply amazing”
“Did I just really hit that shot?”
“I’ve never in my life been able to hit a shot like that!”
“I’ve never felt so comfortable over the ball! ”
“Best thing to happen in golf in years!”
“These are the 3 best shots I’ve ever hit!”
And so on. So why, we ask, if you’re over 6’, would you still want to play with the same clubs as a 5’5” or 5’8” or 5’10” golfer? It’s about as ridiculous, and ridiculous looking, as wearing trousers made for an average height person.
What can TMG clubs do for me?
Here’s a list of faults and problems that cause annoying (at the least) health issues and constant frustration to tall golfers, diminishing their performance and enjoyment of the game.
Stooped posture.
Popping up out of shots due to inability to maintain an over-stooped spine angle throughout the swing.
Addressing the ball with hands inside the shoulders (sometimes almost between the knees).
Swinging with too much weight “on your toes”.
Loss of balance or “falling forward” during each swing.
“Over the top” swings when too-short clubs force us to address the ball with hands and the ball too close to our body, and take the club well outside the shaft plane.
Depending too much on “timing” to execute a successful shot.
Excessive strain on back, feet, knees, ankles, neck and shoulders.
TMG clubs are proven to help fix these problems by enabling tall golfers to change their swing to one grounded in a more correct, healthy, athletic posture….a repeatable, powerful swings around a balanced core. Don’t believe it. Experience it. Order your set today.

TX-1 wedges maintain a low-leading edge for crisp lines, whether played with a straight or open face. Tall Man Golf’s wedges employ Tall Man Golf’s proprietary MassAdjusted ™ technology to enhance the performance characteristics beyond those of standard length clubs, all while maintaining relatively “standard” swingweight on a significantly longer shaft. All Tall Man Golf TX-1 wedges feature True Temper shafts in “Tall Man” flex, which works together with Tall Man Golf’s MassAdjusted ™ heads to give YOU, the golfer, exceptional clubhead speed with less effort, while minimizing in-swing torque and clubface deflection at impact. More importantly, the length of Tall Man Golf’s TX-1 wedges promotes an athletic, stable posture among tall golfers, allowing them to swing the clubs freely on full swings and providing very stable “head-still” platform for chips, pitches and bunker shots. As with TX-1 irons, the length of TX-1 wedges allows the tall golfer to swing each club around his or her body with minimal loss of power due to mid-swing rerouting and corrections that are commonplace when tall golfers use standard length clubs, or standard clubs that have been minimally lengthened (up to 1 1/2”). TMG’s TX-1 wedges have been tested and proven an excellent choice for tall golfers at every handicap and level of the game. They are offered individually or as a set, in lengths from 2” to 6” over standard.

WEDGES
TX-1™ precision forged wedges - the first set of scoring wedges specifically engineered for the tall golfer available in lengths from 2” to 6” over standard. TX-1 wedges offer exceptional length and control, superior trajectory, and excellent spin. By promoting correct balance and posture for the tall golfer, TX-1 wedges bring unprecedented accuracy and consistency to tall golfers’ games.
Tall Man Golf or “TMG’s” TX-1 forged Approach (50 degree), Sand (55 degree) and Lob (60 degree) wedges follow traditional design. TMG wedges feature clean lines and a progressive sole with moderate bounce for easy and accurate shots on both full and short swings, from bunkers and around greens, and from rough or tight lies, alike. The result is that Tall Man Golf’s TX-1 wedges deliver excellent feel and exceptional playability for golfers at every level, whether in full swings, part swings, pitches or chips.
TMG’s TX-1 iron set includes 8 clubs, from PW to 3 iron. Three precision forged TX-1 wedges (approach, sand and lob) are offered separately, individually or as a set.
